An American Forrest
“Forrest’s songs, similar to the harsh winters of the Northwest, are not for the faint of heart.” – Bart Budwig
An American Forrest is a native of rural Southwest Washington, a songwriter, prose writer, analog photographer, and seasoned traveler. He was born in a
farmhouse surrounded by conifers and alongside a barn with ideal acoustics for a country musician. An education in Impressionism began in 2012 with a 6-month stint living in France, Spain, Bulgaria, and Morocco, and ending in a songwriting aesthetic founded on fleet-footed imagery, sensory-triggered memories, heroic women, rural Western American scenery, and a God that bears a striking resemblance to Ernest Hemingway. An American Forrest will be on tour indefinitely.
