The Jingoes, Uncle Scam, Charlie Don’t Surf Friday March 23 – $5
THE JINGOES
POST PUNK…ALL FENDERS, ALL LOUD, ALRIGHT.
UNCLE SCAM
Sounds Like: Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath, System of a Down. The ever-evolving project of SLC musicians Raffi and Ischa, Uncle Scam gives a new edge to Rock’N’Roll with feisty lyrics, entrancing riffs, and dozens of songs in their repertoire. With several EP’s, two full-length albums and a third set for release on March 16th, Uncle Scam is tireless in their drive to create and share their music with the world. The name Uncle Scam spawned from their rebellious political views, and so song topics push boundaries ranging from sexual liberation to political revolution. While the recorded music leaves little to be desired, the live performance is where they really shine, with charisma, energy and chemistry in full-force. Guitarist Raffi and Vocalist Ischa bring the tracks to life, showing the audience that they were born to be onstage.
